The Counseling Center provides a wide variety of resources that are excellent sources of information to help individuals with mental health concerns or needs. Self-help materials are not meant to be a substitute for therapy. The tools and resources on this page are intended to support our university and community. Therapy Assistance Online
Therapy Assistance Online (TAO) is an interactive, dynamic, easy-to-access online program that provides support for anxiety, depression, and other common concerns.
You can use TAO as it fits your around busy life...anytime, anywhere:
- Mobile-friendly
- Accessible 24/7
To Sign In, use your TXST email address as the Email ID and follow the prompts to log in using your Texas State credentials.
Kognito At-Risk Training
At-Risk is an effective online, self-paced training for faculty, staff, and students that will help you recognize signs of distress and ways to approach students to offer support and resources.
Access Instructions:
- Visit txstate.kognito.com
- New users will need to create an account. Returning users can their login credentials.
- New users will have to agree to the "Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy" to complete registration
- Once registration is completed, users will login and answer demographic questions
- Select student role if applicable
- Select 'Launch' to begin your Kognito simulation
Note: To complete your training, please finish all required simulation content and using the 'Next' button, complete the post-survey. This is required by your institution. Once completed, you will see a button on your home screen that says 'Completed.'

To help you sleep better, the Counseling Center launched Sleep Tip Tuesdays in the Spring semester of 2024.
