Counseling Center Services
- Therapy Assistance Online (TAO): a free, interactive, dynamic, easy-to-access online program provides therapeutic exercises for anxiety, depression, and other common concerns. Any member of the Texas State community can watch short videos and complete skill-building activities on your smartphone or computer 24/7.
- Workshops Series (In-Person) & Bobcat Mental Wellness Videos: A compilation of live workshops and recorded webinars by the Counseling Center for Bobcats on relevant topics such as stress management, breathing exercises, self-care and cultivating resilience, graduate student support and much more.
- Mindfulness Institute For Emerging Adults: learning skills to improve student success, reduce stress and tips to better sleep.
- Emotional Intelligence: strategies on enhancing emotional response patterns and provide interpersonal skills that can be used in your everyday life
- Group Counseling: offered Fall and Spring Semesters
- Sleep Tips: Review the Sleep Tip Archives as well as sign up to receive a weekly tip during the semester
- Self-Help Resources: frequently updated self-help material includes webinars, guides, recommended phone apps, and more.
- TimelyCare-on-demand virtual mental health services to enrolled students at no additional cost to students, TalkNow 24/7, Scheduled Counseling, Health Coaching, Psychiatry with referral, Self-Care Content, Basic Needs Support
- Community Resource Coordination: Assistance finding off-campus therapy, what to say when reaching out and navigating insurance/low-cost options.
- Crisis/Urgent Support: Crisis Hotlines/Text Lines and support resources regarding suicidal thinking, sexual assault and grief/loss
